THERE ARE SO MANY FACTORS THAT DETERMINE WHO YOU LOVE...
Yesterday JENNY WAS TALKING ABOUT ALUM ROCK and all I COULD think of was ETHEL AND THE other building across the way from it and the JACOBS FAMILY AND THE TREMENDOUS LOVE THAT I FELT FOR them -- GYPSY my wild friend and also going to have a lamb dinner with her cousin at the flat in HILLBROW -- THE MASSACRE AT THE YUGOSLAV CLUB -- THAT WAS horrendous the building that we lived in above it, and going on down past the buildings to that little record shop the sell records......................................
GOING DOWN AND PAST TOWARDS THE NURSES HOME AND THAT MADE ME think about the FRY FAMILY AND MAGGIE AND MY MUM AND ALSO THE MORRIS FAMILY AND FRIEDA MORRIS AND DOREEN COHN -- DAYS IN ROSEBANK SPENT having breakfast with them --- working at the DENEYS REITZ IN TOWN AFTER THAT THOUGH.....
IN MEMORY OF ETHEL...WHO WAS A FANTASTIC WOMEN -- ALMOST LIKE A MOM TO ME....
WHEN I worked at the OK BAZAARS --- AND THEN THE MILITARY 1 HOSPITAL IN PTA --
GOING TO VISIT SOMEONE -- and my friends THE REYNEKES --------------------------------------
THINKING ABOUT THE BRITISH FLAG -- RECORDS -- the day going to the ZOOLAKE WITH TOY ON THE BIKE AND HIS kid -- he was young then, ETHEL WHEN WE WENT TO A FRIEND WHO was a YUGOSLAV WITH ALL the paintings in HOUGHTON NEAR ST JOHNS.......
ETHEL AND HER SISTER AND MY FRIEND DAWN WERE AMAZING PEOPLE -- AND I was around her such a lot -- that I JUST HAVE TO STOP AND THINK ABOUT ALUM ROCK AND HAVE ALL THE MEMORIES OF THOSE TIMES FLOOD BACK TOWARDS ME AGAIN.....
DEDICATED TO MY FRIEND -- ETHEL WHO passed away....she was a wonderful and lovely person and I WILL always remember her and the goodtimes in HILLBROW...........................
